Newbie looking for help

Hello Everyone hope you can help me. I have been wanting to get a Detector for a long time and kept putting it off..The first time and only I ever used one was with my dad 20 years ago.I had alot of fun with it. I am a beginner and would like to get a good detector now and not later. I have been looking at the Cortes, would this be to hard for me I don't mine spending the money on one now. Thanks P.S Could you plz talk to me like I am watching Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street.

The Cortes is a great detector that will reach deep and so the job you require of it. With the lifetime warranty you won't have to worry. If you visited Tesoro's web site you can read the field test reports. It is however a preset ground balance which means no messing around to set it or getting it wrong for the area. I'd prefer a detector with a manual ground adjustment, but then I like to fiddle with controls.

Tesoro recently brought out the Hot Tech coils for these machines and the 18" X 3" Clean Sweep Coil too. If there is only one coil you will need it is the smallest one made for your detector to help in trashy areas.

The Cortes is no harder than any of the Tesoro's and actually pretty easy to understand. It is their best overall detector and works especially good for coinshooting. You won't go wrong with one. Let me know if I can help you with your purchase.
