Newbie seeking wisdom!

Hey guys! I am a newbie who likes to wander from state to state enjoying the beauty of our country. I just got into gold panning and want to learn whatever I can from more experienced members. Right now I am in northwestern Washington and want to try my hand at the South Fork of the NookSack River. Any ideas of where to start? Thanks!
