After digging a pint jar full of clad with a few wheats I finally got my first silver! I had hit this place five or six times and had dug over a hundred coins with no silver and had about given up on it. With some solid advice from members of this forum about slowing down and digging whispers it finally happened. And big silver at that!I know its just a walker but a first is a first! Thanks guys.

Man that is nice! The only silver I've dug so far was a 1941 quarter and I didn't even know it was a silver until I got it home and cleaned up a bit. Today I hunted a 1930's home by permission and scored my first 5 wheaties! I just knew there would be silver in every next hole but no luck. Congrats on your first silver!

Congrats. That is a sweet BIG silver coin, and being your first, makes it a really killer find. A lot of people don't get the opportunity to dig something like that up at all. Good show!

There's no such thing as "just a Walker " c.d. - In fact ,I think Walker's are on more than a few peoples bucket list . How exciting
for your first silver (I'd probably find a way to frame it and put it on the wall or something ).

Thats a great way to get your first silver coinage Tried to recall my first silver coin find but can't. I had found a good number of them back in the old days the shine of silver in the hole is hard to forget tho Now onwards to your first gold find, Good Luck on that
