This is a great site to help learn the DEUS. I've read it numerous times. Had the luxury of taking off all last season (same this coming fall/winter) & spent several full days every week hunting to put various tips to use.
XP Deus Program Settings, Features and Modes
Unlike many detectorists I am not interested in discriminating unwanted non ferrous signals. Just the opposite. When hunting 17th century sites along Chesapeake Bay there are no unwanted non ferrous signals. Instead I am always trying to unlock NEW signals without over saturating the ground with power. Which happened to me early on when I tried to crank up the sens too high. I generally leave the silencer on 0 or lower. Which means I dig more iron. Thats fine because I just discard it. Running a 2 reactivity or lower & a manual ground below 82 will get the Deus to amazing depths.
I don't personally find any difference in depth regardless of frequency although 18 khz (which I use exclusively) finds small pieces of metal at depth better.
