Hey fellow diggers, my name is Norm.
I am just getting started after a LONG layoff caused by a welding accident. Had around #1000 of steel come off a cart and crush me. I wound up breaking my neck and back in 6 places, both of my arms and my left leg. I have had 26 operations from the accident and have 47 pieces of titanium in me. I recovered as much as could have been recoverable then last year was diagnosed with cancer. I had surgery last July 29th just 4 days after my birthday and can say now I am cancer free.
I wrote Garrett about my rough road and told them my story. I asked them if they had any used detectors in the Garrett AT Pro model. I actually wrote them twice (crickets)...
Anyway, I am saving up right now for something in the AT Pro group. It has to be water proof as I have some swimming holes I need to try. At the current prices I should be able to save everything I need by next Fall. It gives me something to look forward to. I have an old Pioneer 101 I got at a pawn shop but, well, you know...it just does not cut the mustard.
I know I will be able to learn so much from this community and look forward to corresponding with you all.
Norm
