got out yesterday (monday) to the same crk and moved up 50 ft to the next outcrop that crosses 90 deg to flow. lost an hour setting up due to there not being enough depth on the little waterfalls but managed to set between the 2 "riffles" by filling it with rocks to sit on. dug out about 2 ft depth behind the last "riffle" in the crk bed but didnt hit bottom ( more to do next trip) but shifted some large buried rocks. i also noticed a small gravel bed just down from where i was digging so i will have to get that next time as well. got a few little flakes and specks..not much .11 g in total at least its something. ive decided that digging the whole bed and every nook on this crk is the way to go as the gold is small.....heavy pans all

just a side note ..i modified the garbzook...originally had a 1/2" lip at the start of the trap it now is 1/4" this has eliminated the scouring that was happening at the outlet end of the trap...should have not tried to 'improve' GG design!!!!

Well atleast now you've tried and now you know the answer! and if you didn't try you woud always be wondering , what if!
