Saturday morning I had to dump before picking up more. One of my branches got a new coin counter sos I thought I would try it out, besides I've got the hots for one of the tellers real bad haha. She always asked ME where I get all these halves and I would say "if I told you then you would go tet them and there would be none for ME". After she pressed ME I finally told her the truth sortof, I told her I clean out "wishing wells". Anyways back to Saturday. Turns out their new coin counter can only handle 2 or 3 halves at a time or it will jam. Another customer asked ME if I owned a vending company, I said "no, I'm a collector"- she heard that!!! Anyways the machine kept jamming which gave us time for chitchat. She had to show off 20 Bens she rescued from the hopper a few days before. When she mentioned taking them to a coin shop and selling them I told her I would pay more than the coin dealer would (I know cause I been to them all here). She said I could come back today and buy them. Well I did, got them for 9X's face cause the dealer would only pay 8 haha. She was estatic telling ME about the old lady who brung in a whole bunch, and how she could have got more but didn't know if they were really worth anything. I said is that bag still here? Can I buy it? Normally I am not so crass as to buy coin where I dump but hey. Looking through the plastic I saw several more Bens, silver Kens, and unless I was halucinating I saw a Barbers eagle. Granted most of the bag is my dumps from Saturday but I'm stoked. I'll find out after dinner whats in it. HH Mark

9x the face value is a deal :icon_pirat: , and a bag showing silver is a awesome especially a barber , best of luck with that bag

After dinner????? I couldn't do it.........dinner would just have to wait....all there is to it.

Sitting on the edge on my seat here..............................................

Im with Lejeune on this one....its been 5 hours...whats the verdict?

AFTER dinner? How could you wait that long? I couldn't stand the suspense!

.....and I'm with the "wait till after dinner?" crowd. We need an update. I've seen silver twice now when they were changing the bag. It's sweet. Mine were mostly 40's.

Yous are too funny. OK was a false alarm on the Barber but with 69 more Bens + the ones I bought and 52 64's I did alright out of that bag. Sorry for the late update, I Ben fillin holes and upgrading my Franklin Dansco book. LJ thanks for keepin fingers crossed, what a way to end the month. HH all, I gotta find some more bags. Mark

Nice.......

That's a 142 90% guess it pays to be in the right place at the right time. And to think if those would of made it back to Brinks or the Fed they might have made it into someone Else's box, and we might have seen 1,2 or 3 more story's on how someone scored a couple dozen Franklin's.

Sort of backs the theory that there will always be coins to be found out there between the skunks cause some little old lady's are turning in their late husbands cache without knowing what they are worth.

$142 face at 10 x face = $1420.00. She could have bought a lot of grocery's with that......... Lucky for you.

Can you give us some more info on your find? any good KEY DATES? Did you get a pic.?

Thanks. CRH Mojo

Been a long time since I had anything picture worth that I didn't even think about it. They are all nicely packaged and in a safe place now. Like I said I was able to fill 3 or 4 holes in ME Danco and upgrade a few others but the ones I really hoped for (48, 53S, 55) still eluded ME. Still can't wipe the smile off ME face.
