NICE BRASS BELL!!! HELP ON AGE/USE.

Saturday I trekked back down to the site I had great luck on last weekend. Unfortunately the field was frozen, but I was able to dig in the grassy area were there was once a house. Pulled the bell, see pictures, and 1 wheat, 1 memorial pennies amongst plenty of targets. You almost never find these in one piece! Mouth measures 2 1/2" wide and it's just shy of that tall.

Looks like a horse bell, date maybe late 19th century.
 

These were dinner bells or similar. I have one that still has the iron rod at the top that the handle went on. Made of some sort of brittle brass allow. Not sure what the alloy is, but has the appearance of Tombac yet is yellow like brass when scratched/cut.
 

very cool find, love those bells and that is a nice one
