IMG_2344.webp 1865 Indian Head. I can read liberty on the headband

IMG_2345.webp CW black glass

IMG_2347.webp Camp lead and a pipe stem

IMG_2348.webp Those icky poncho grommets.

And yes there's MORE!

IMG_2349.webp Probably went to cartridge boxes.

IMG_2351.webp Eagle button on left was on top of the ground.

IMG_2352.webp Minies and an unknown I have to measure.

IMG_2354.webp Two pieces of very thin brass, maybe to a shako or such.

IMG_2355.webp Two brass pieces that probably went with the spoon from a mess kit. Found within 1'.

IMG_2356.webp Two colonial silvered buttons, a brass tack head and early 19th century button with backmark.

Another ho hum day in Civil War Land.

I like the trigger guard best.
The iron buckles commonly went on horses, I find tons of them over here.

Nice digging with you yesterday Smokey, let’s tear it up again this coming Saturday. You kicked Dave’s and my but!

That's because I what you said "waddle like a duck?" It was a hard day. And it got hot!

A few more things:

IMG_2358.webp Bits and pieces

IMG_2359.webp Probably a musket tompion but not to a standard Enfield and probably cartridge box finial, and most likely Confederate as it used a small piece of iron on the other side/back.

Nice finds and mix of time periods...

Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Thanks. We found nothing dating after the CW. Nothing. Of course there was the exception of aluminum foil and modern aluminum cans. But no late 19th century or early 20th century anything. The one little bullet was modern.

Cool finds, Smokey.
