Hmmm. That's the thickest bit I've ever seen on a celt.

Quito now that you bring it up its not smooth and can't find a chip on it anywhere anyone else find it suspect? I'm not in deep on it but would be kinda pissed if my buddy pulled a quick one on me on mere principal alone.

I'm like quito I don't see a blade end it looks to rounded and your buddy may not have done it on purpose. Can we see some more photos of the bit end, but the Dalton is a killer.

It looks like it shows some polish on the side of it. Can we see a pic of the bit straight on?

Here is a few more pics

With those photos it looks good to me, you can see the bit end better. JMO you got a good trade:thumbsup:

Thanks rack I wouldn't think my buddy would do that to me. Tn Quito was suspect and that got me suspect since he seems to be pretty high level info wise.

Those last pics show a bit nicely, the first ones didn't show it at all. It's a nice celt, just a little thicker than I am used to seeing them.

Look good to me boss ;)

It is what they are called in this area. Your area may call them something else. I am not very technical but do recognize a nice artifact. It looks like you have a nice one. The word Celt can be a very broad term. Some are actually chisels and hand held for wood working. Check out Penbrandts they usually show many types. Thanks for sharing.

Fellas.... If that's not a Celt,I've never seen one. can someone post a picture of one for me? Lol! Just kidding you guys. Those are great artifacts.

Thanks guys
