This morning I went to some land that had been turned last week. Last night we had an inch of rain at my house in town. I got to the field around noon and found where somebody had already tried to look the field but it was too wet to look. I found the point below at the edge of the field without walking in the field. I think this is tallahatta quartz. It is not a common material in southwest Georgia.
I then looked in a field on the same farm and found this one. This field had only been harrowed and it was no problem to look it.
I then drove to a field about 15 miles away that I have looked many, many times this spring. It is a dry-land field that was planted in cotton last year. It has been harrowed but the cut-off cotton plants are still there. I found this one in the field yesterday.
I found these there today. The first one was barely visible. I couldn't believe it when I pulled it out.
