Nice gold with unknown attached rock-help

I panned a few pieces of gold from my Dry-Washing cleanout that I'm curious about. I'm trying to get help on identifying what this rock is. It looks like quartz in one of those pictures but the brown is very consistent on the rest of it. If anybody knows what TYPE of quartz it is or what else it could be then let me know.

Looks like somebody lost there gum on their nugget.

Really hard to tell with any certainty from a picture but it looks like Rhyolite which is sometimes associated with gold mineralization.
