Nice Lid

[cambria09]

Howdy All. Hunted the new site again today that has been producing nice stuff but couldn't find a lot. Did manage to net a '56 Wheat and this nice lid from Dr. Sayman Products.

This Sayman guy was quite an entrepreneur, starting from nothing, building a soap and medicine biz around 1900. After he became successful he donated a 2400 acre park to the state of Missouri.

I dig it when I dig stuff that has a story and some history to go with.

Thanks for looking and HH. C9

That lid is very neat, and the Sayman link you posted has some fabulous photos. GREAT POST!

Neat history, thanks for sharing. Cool relic!

When I was a kid I remember my mom had some thick, smelly salve called "Sayman's Salve" that we used. Wonder if it was invented by this guy's company?
