Found this yesterday. Has a nice design I haven't seen before so I thought I would post. Any Idea on age? The other is a different Eagle button I have posted in "What Is It". Pics are bad because of button being 1/2 rounded and scanner won't pick up detail. Believe it is Pre- Civil War Eagle Cuff Button. Eagle faces right with olive branch in this talon. There only seems to be "1" arrow in the left talon. The whole backround behind the Eagle looks like a screen or wire mesh. Different huh?

Found that '36 wheatie too! ;D Been having a slight dry spell with the coins. Tony Carlotto is working on the one I found with the hole in it a couple weeks ago. Should have it Friday. I don't know what it is yet. Might be Christmas in May! (But I doubt it)

Well I know all about slumps. Have researched and lead the way to sites with great finds but just couldn't get my damn coil over anything. With the crops going in soon I don't have a whole lotta love happening right now for detecting.

I'm also getting the RR 6 Vermont back from Tony C. He says this looks awesome. This guy is GREAT. Wants NO $, cleans 'em up nice. All he wants is to see them. Photographs, weighs, and records where I found them for his research. I'll repost it when I get it back on Fri.

Love the pewter....Too bad it get's so unidentifiable. Great Find's

Very nice finds

The design on the button is very similar to the Bar Copper, which dates it around 1785.

Here is a pic of a Bar Copper for comparison.

Nice digs!

Believe it or not Neil. It's the first thing I thought of when I saw it. Couldn't remember the date though. Thanks Hogge
