That's a woodland style point but serrations are mainly an archaic trait. Maybe a specialized woodland tool? Gary
 

Yeah, this ones hard to type. Kirks are very common in Illinois and the serrations are a key marker type. One side has the serrations worn away which implies a knife. Were woodland era points used as knives? I’m almost thinking Kirk as these are the most common in Illinois-but heavily reworked..?
 

Good lookin point! Never seen one that style serrated.
 

Nice point , may be a Hopewell

Im not from this area but it looks to have some Snyders shape to it to. Its a fine point.
 

I agree with Arrow1492, that point would fall in line with Kirk Corner Notched more than any other.
 

I used to have a multi-component site just outside of southern Illinois where I found several similar points. I can’t even articulate why, but I believe them to be a late-Woodland point. The serrations are atypical for the period but hey, that’s my thought. Nice find.
