Nice silver Boy Scout ring?

Hi everyone, got out today for a couple hours, hunted a couple of fields at the middle school I attended when I was a kid. I found various clad and what I thought was a small cannonball it was not you'll see in the picture I don't know its some type of metal stuff that's round.

I did find a really nice sterling silver ring that I believe is a Boy Scouts ring. It was rather deep at least 8 to 10 inches deep. Please view the pictures give me your opinions.

Thanks for showing your ring. May I ask how long ago you received your ring.

Here is a photo of the inside of the ring I found today. Perhaps it might help in dating it. It looks much different than yours.

Your ring has the general eagle and fluer-d-lis of the boy scouts. Hubcap's ring is actually a specific BS rank image.

I received this when I turned 13 I think so 1988, apologies if anyone feels old after reading that date. And I believe it was my fathers but he had passed many years prior, mom kept a box of personal items, this was one.

The ring is a really nice find. Some of the happiest years of my life were the years I was a Boy Scout. I can remember how proud my father was of me when I achieved my Eagle Scout award.

I didn't know that. I never went past Cub Scout.

Indeed I am of the younger variety, heck of a nice find. I don't know to many people I scouted with that still have theirs. Heck of a nice recovery though.

My son is in scouts. Last year I found a sterling cub ring that he thought was really cool and I let him wear it a little bit, but he had just moved up to Boy Scouts. I want to buy him a sterling scouts rings, but I need to wait or he'll outgrow it in a year!
