I found this today at a house built in 1948. its a women's sterling ring. How old is it?

Wheatfinder , to my eye the ring doesn't look older than 1960's or 70's - Are there any hallmarks inside the band ?

Nope, it just says silver

I would like to see the silver mark, if you can manage it - the style of the stamp can often give clues to the vintage .
