Really nice spoon. I found it bent so my hypothesis is one of the youngins got angry, bent the spoon, than buried it in the back yard in attempt to be ridden from consequences. Anyway there is a makers mark on the back that has been obstructed due to weathering, also toward the neck of the spoon is engraved what I think says Andrew Preston which is cool because he was a pharmacist in my City and I have a couple embossed bottle of his. If anyone is a bit more knowledgable in this realm of treasure any input would be much appreciated granted i havent a clue of the date, nor the makers mark. Abot 4 inches
THANKS HAPPY HUNTING<><><><> YAY SPring

when spoons look like that it often means it was thrown in the hog-slop by accident and the pigs chewed it up.....

The green on that spoon does not bode well for it being sterling - likely a silver plate over brass or copper - Can you show a close up -
of the hallmarks ?
