Nickels are fun :)

[Narthoniel]

Bought another $100 box from my newest bank today. My wife was amazed at how long they lasted(or how fast I went through them). Not a bad mix, 22 pre 1960 with more from the 40s than 50s. There were 5 1940 alone. Highlight of the hunt was the silver war nickle I found early on . It is a duplicate in the book - 1944p, but maybe next time Ill get a new silver.

Happy Hunting,
Anthony

They sure are. They seem to be the only denomination you can easily find ones from the 40's and 50's, and the war nickels are awesome. I havent been all too lucky lately, with 8 pre 1960's in $50. I did finish the 1962-1995 nickel folder today

Something to think about:

Ask a local dealer if you can trade straight across your spare silver nickels for one's that you're missing.

I don't consider that cheating as you're not actually paying anything.

Nickle swapping is an idea, but, I plan to hunt a lot of them, so I dont mind waiting until they pop up

Yea, I love nickels!!! So far 2 of my silver war nickels were on the end looking up at me when I opened the box.
