I live in Yarnell, AZ. The local grocery store here is owned by Andy Bacon. He told me of his brother, Nicky Daniel Bacon (Army). Nicky was awarded the CMH for his actions west of Tam Ky, Vietnam in August of '68. I was also working the same area in the Marines at the same time! Nicky passed away recently, in July, 2010. God, his citation reads like a John Whayne movie! Go to the CMH Society webpage to "meet" Ssgt Bacon. Also, when passing through Yarnell, stop in at the grocery store and say "Hi" to Andy and Mina. God, I wish I could have met him, a REAL american HERO! TTC
