I've been detecting for about nine years. I've found gold and silver jewelry but a silver coin has always eluded me.

I got a permission at the AirBnB where I was staying in Missoula, MT. The sidewalk said 1913 and it wasn't the address. This came out next to the front walk. (And of course I scratched it.) Shortly followed by a 1916 wheatie, then five 1930s-40s wheaties in one hole. Then it dried up.

Way to go! It's so fun to see those shiny ones!!

Wow 9 years is a long time without finding 1 silver coin! Maybe this is the curse breaker!

Congrats on your maiden silver coin !! 👏👏👏 well done !!

Good stuff at the airbnb! Grats on the wheats and first silver coin! I scratched my first one ever too, a barber quarter. Let's just call it an added memory of our first silver coin. Ha

Congratulations on the first silver. I pulled my first silver this year as well. (1942 merc) There's plenty more silver to come. As for the scratch, you'll always know which was your first.

Better late than never......Congrats on your first silver coin. Hopefully the second one will come sooner than the first one.

Congrats 👏 on the silver.

That's a long time to wait. Glad you got one. Research is key to success in this hobby. Now go get #2!
