Two weeks in row now I ordered a box from a bank, then I call them when its suppose to be in and they are not there! They got their coin delivery, just no halves. They said they would talk to the driver and see whats up. And that was the only box I ordered this week! I did go by another bank that I knew had some rolls, but the last time was skunked and I was skunked again! Then I got 20 rolls of quarters and did get one silver quarter. A 1964. I guess better than nothing. One thing I like about the quarters is the silver are all 90%, nice and white! I might start searching quarters more. Ive found two in the last 4 weeks.

Bummer on the boxes TW. Seems like something is up with that. I have never tried quarters yet, but like you said I would think they would be easy to pick out.

Good luck.

That sucks about your boxes misssing but Thats awsome that you found a silver quarter. at least it has more silver than a 40% half. I've searched about 3000 $ in quarters and found none.

Funny you mentioned about quarters.Ever since I stopped being able to order boxes I have just gone in to random banks and bought boxes of quarters and dimes(mostly quarters) and I can get several boxes at a time usually because they already have them in stock.

I find an average of 2 1964 an under quarters per box and maybe 3 dimes per box.Sometimes more.

It's nice because the .25 and .10 are all 90% and I used to only average 2-4 65-69 halves per box,So I am still finding the same value in silver but not having to pay rediculous fee's for half boxes.

(1) 1964 and under $.25 is worth more than (2) 65-69 halves.Just something to keep in mind.

At $13.26 per/oz (1)quarter is worth $2.40 & (1)40% half is $1.96
So if you are finding more quarters go for it.

Thanks for pointing that out Dan,I still was thinking halves when I wrote that.

I meant to say 1 '64-earlier quarter was worth more than 1 '65-'70 half at half the face cost, but was thinking about the fact that 1 90% half is worth more than 2 40% halves.
