IMG_0030.JPGDSC02611.JPGDSC02612.JPGDSC02614.JPGThese finds came from an early home site, not before 1840s I think. There is red brick fragments, some broken pottery in the field. The button is kinda different, it reads, Military Train if you can't make it out, I think it is from the late 1860s time period. The soldier that would have worn it would have served in India or South Africa, this is what I am to believe. I have been trying to find out more about it on the web, but so far no found material, if any one can help that would be welcome, thanks. The buckle is kinda nice, I am not sure if it were a shoe buckle, or for a lady, the diamond item came off something to do with a horse, any ways it was a nice day to get out, I am hoping to get back to another location soon to return an item the land owner is not aware of. The farm was another old town, I found the post office stamp for the village a couple of years back, it bares the CW, or Canada west on it, CW was used before 1867, that was our confederation date, I am sure they will well it for their collection. Even without coins it turned out to be a good hunt!

Great stuff--love the buckle! Congrats. -Lisa & John

Those are some nice looking relics, and I like that button. I'm not sure you needed any coins to make that a good hunt.

If I don't find coins on a hunt, those are the kind of relics that would make up for it.
Congrats!
