Those are BEAUTIFUL shots (wish there were more!!!)
How long did it take to sail to Isla Mujeres from here??
Thanks for showing the photos...

Oh, I meant to ask... did you get any detecting in over there??

Bran <><

Nope, didn't take my detector with me. I was space limited on this trip and the scuba gear won the toss. Every time I walked on the beach I was mentally detecting though... would have been a nice place to work. When I bring my boat back next spring, I will have my 'tectors with me.

It took 3 days to sail there from St. Pete. I left my boat back in safe harbor and crewed on a boat that we raced over in the Regatta del Sol al Sol. We placed 3rd in our class and 8th overall. (38 boats racing)

Here's a few more photos of the island. The first is the awards ceremony. (I'm the old fat guy on the left, not the Guy In Back on this one :-) hehehe )

Wow, those are some really amazing shots!!!! It's sad you didn't get to detect, but cool that you'll have the ability to do so at another point in time! :) Well, I suppose I'd have to say that their beaches are much more beautiful than ours....

What a beautiful place. OMG those 1st 2 pics are scary...love that one of y'all riding the waves. We had a sail boat once upon a time, it was a salvage boat out of FL. Believe me, no hard time selling it after Katrina.

I believe I would be enjoying the scenery more than trying to detect the beach.

 RR
