Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Do people REALLY believe a bunch of drunk pirates could create such a underground maze of tunnels to bury treasure? And why bury it if they never attempted to recover it later?
Digging so deep with just a shovel? Come on, This whole "legend" is a big farce. And drilling deep underground on a island, it's a no brainer you'll hit water!!

And could someone on the show tell Rick to trim his eyebrows!!!!!

I gave up on the show after they went to france or Italy, Wherever (i Fast Forwarded through it.)
then first thing the next week they magically dig an
identical Cross they saw imprinted on the wall over there ???

at that point the B.S. just got really overwhelming.
must have been a gift shop purchase.

I can't even trust there Detectorist anymore :(

What are you talking about, that is 100% legit 12th century find with no doctoring whatsoever!

Next you are going to tell me that wrestling on TV is fake too?? :laughing7: :laughing7:

only 12th Century ? you mean adam didn't carve it for Eve ?

THANK YOU!!! I bailed after the first few shows. I just saw when they unearthed that cross on the beach though. Someone had turned it on in the break room right when they "discovered" it. Then they started flashing back. I started laughing and walked away. At this point, I'll watch for Hitler in Argentina. I think they have a better chance to find both there. What a time suck!!!

Yea I thought the Railroad Spike from a Pirate Ship was Ridiculous.
They actually topped themselves.

I do do have to wonder what the next planted item will be.

It pains me greatly to see this show continue...

That's why I gave up.
I don't have to watch it continue now :tongue3:

if a Program on TV airs & I didn't Record & watch it.
Did it really Happen ?

eh, its entertaining....i watch it for the sole purpose of its something im interested in (treasure, tales, history...) etc

Everyone involved in the show must be making money hand over fist if they're able to churn out season after season with nothing tangible discovered. The first season or two explored aspects of the legend which was worthy content I suppose, but once that well ran dry they're literally making it up as they go. Marty obviously is only in it for the money but Rick may have lost his mind. I worry he will throw himself down 10-X just before they plug it shut and that will be the grand finale and end of the "curse".

Pirates weren't as drunken or as dumb as you or anybody else may think spummer. To sack a heavily defended town, city, when out numbered isn't a simple feat by any means.Do some reading, youll see what I mean.A pirate ship was one of the first democracies, everybody had a say, everybody was equal. There was no true captain on a pirate ship unless a job was being pulled or they were being pursued or in time of battle. They were far from dumb.Always give credit where credit is due.

That only Proves the Point, They would Never
believe they could dig a Pit that deep on a small Island.
and not hit Mud & natural water from all sides. long before they hit that depth.

My hunch: Everything they are bringing up from those Depth, wood, Metal, Pottery,
& bone are either being pushed down by the Machinery , or sunk down in the slop
over the last 200 or so years of searchers

But you and others watch, and that's the whole point to scripted dramas.

Yep.. A bad treasure search show still is better then most of the junk on the telly...

The legend deserves a thorough investigation. They are just dragging it out so long....

I am shocked at your attitude!
Me (and my DVR) love the show!

lol way too much b.s. in this one.
perhaps if they would stay put on the island and do their searching , instead of taking a yearly vacation
out of the country, wasting time etc. my interest would still be there.
I would think through out the year, they could get enough Fooage
to do an entire Season Hunting like Diggers Did.
another issue that came up earlier in the season,
they got the cease & desist on detecting from the Historical Commission &
had to hire an archi. and they can't detect and dig where they like.

makes me wonder if they need to plant finds in order to search with a detector,
or if they need to leave the island and pretend they are digging there.

I just lost all trust and patience on that show.

And their announcer drove me Crazy with his reaction every time they found something.

"a Bone :o ? under the Ground ? :o"
a piece of pottery ? :o" Under the Ground ? :o"
a Nail ? :o ? under the Ground ? :o ?

A moron announcing on a Treasure Hunting show, being surprised, there is Trash "Under the Ground" :laughing7: Oh the Humanity !!!!

:BangHead:

yea I'd rather watch King George Swing from a tree after digging a Token.

The thing that keeps me from watching the embarrassing agony, everything they find simply has to be a potential clue to something grander. :laughing7: A common rusty piece of metal strapping instantly becomes a potential piece of lost Templer boot strap, or whatever....:laughing7: Find a cross carved in a rock and it automatically becomes a Templer sign....heck, if that's the case then they absolutely thrived here in Indiana.....:laughing7: I watched the show once, tried to force myself through a second sitting, couldn't do it, had fingernails that needed to be pulled out.....:laughing7:
