Treasure Talk, at minelabusa.com, has articles and tips on the various Minelab models. One article suggests setting Noise Cancel Channel 2, manual sensitivity, and Conductive for best results. Maybe some other channel would be optimum for hot ground.

Try on your ground what noise channel works for you best, but its so small different you will not notice. did air test with coin and on channel 1 is deepest, but its very very little. good luck
