Nokta new coil problem

I bought a Nokta Macro Simplex Plus detector and bought a Nel 9.5 X 5.5 coil. I hooked it up to my detector and it freezes the screen while the coil is attached to the detector. Nothing works on the screen. Do I have to pair this coil to my detector or something? Need help. Thanks

What version are you running on your simplex?
