This is quit interesting to me. My kids grew up in Deep Creek and my son found small pieces of rock that look like gold near the swamp in Deep Creek. Did not have them tested but still have them in a small bag. I will try and post a picture of them.
Deep Creek is now in Chesapeake, VA instead of Norfolk, VA they Changed in 1963. Wow this really is a great story.

There is a DEEP CREEK State Park down there... state loves to "cover" sites of interest.
