Sometimes, this site can be fairly intimidating. Such MARVELOUS once in a lifetime finds, EVERY DAY! LOL

While the normal, every day hobby detectorist goes out as often as they can and are extremely lucky to find ANYTHING, let alone the ultimate find of a lifetime. Oh, I know, every single hunt holds the potential and day after day of seeing the wondrous sights on here DO help to keep the fire burning. :)

But, some might feel a little shy to put up their "lowly" little wheat cent or silver dime. Well, never let it be said that I was shy!! LOL

Simple hunt, simple finds. Fitting for a simple, humble, detectorist.

Enjoy:

Awesome!!!!!!

Sweet silver !

Yeah, 't is. :) AND, after my recent hunt result of only one zincoln, this WHOLE hunt is looking pretty darn good! ;)

In fact, I'm voting banner! C'mon people!! Let's start a grassroots movement!!

Banner! Banner! BANNER!!!

SPEAK UP FOR THE LOWLY MASSES OF EVERYDAY DETECTORISTS!!

Thanks!
HH!

Great finds!!! The "simple" finds still excite!!

Your "small success" would be a banner find for me.

Exactly! It would be a "banner" find for most detectorists. But, when they see all these "lifetime events" every day, they sort of think this can't be a place for me! LOL

Thing is, it is exactly the place to be! It shows that ANYone can and do find some of the most wonderful things. Just takes patience and perseverance. :)

I'll put up my single silver finds any time I get a chance. While not remarkable in comparison to the best of the best today or most days. They are remarkable to me. After all, We are HUNTING, we're not going down to the corner coin shop and buying them. Sometime you're just not gonna land the big fat hog you're looking for.

My hunt today, one hour before work, Results. 1 quarter, 2 dimes, 2 Nickels, 5 copper Memorial Pennies, 6 Zincs, 1 American Flag lapel pin, A nail, 4 Pull-tabs.

What was unique was, I have never pulled a Quarter or Nickel from this site before. However, over the last 1 1/2 years, I pulled 3 mercs, 1917, 1938, 1943, A 1918 Token. But big silver or some other surprise might appear at the next hunt or 10 hunts down the road. At Least I got to hunt.

Nice finds WHADIFIND

Yep, if one loses that spark of excitement, even a little, just because it's "just another zincoln"! Then, the pilot is on it's way out. Each find teaches something. Learn what the machine is trying to tell you and the finds will explode. (Helps to get the coil over something though. ;) LOL )

Good job!

Thanks for the kind words.

I LIVE FOR THE 1979 STINKIN LINCOLN IF IT WASENT FOR THE RECENT COINS I WOULD NEVER FIND ANY AT ALL.I MEAN REALLY ITS EASY TO FIND AN OLD RARE COIN BUT ITS NOT SO EASY TO FIND A 2003 QUARTER NOW THAT TAKES AN EVERYDAY METAL DETECTORIST TO DO AND BESIDES IT SHOWS THAT NO MATTER WHERE WE WILL BE MORE THEN GLAD TO TAKE OUT THE DETECTOR AND DIG DIG DIG IM TOTALLY ON BOARD BROTHER I TIP MY HAT EVEN THOUGH I DONT WEAR ONE BUT IF I DID I WOULD TIP IT LOL KEEP FINDING THE COINS WE ARE LOOSING NOW AND KEEP POSTING LOL :-)

Always nice to find silver!

I have those days too and they change from time to time. I haven't found any old coins accept from when I receive change back. It always happens that way. ^_^ Anyway, those are still some neat finds.
