Apr 12, 2025The mystery of D.B. Cooper, the infamous hijacker who vanished with $200,000 after leaping from a plane in 1971, may be closer to being solved. The FBI is examining a parachute rigging discovered in a barn in Craven County which could potentially identify Cooper. The case, the FBI's only unsolved air piracy incident, has intrigued the nation for over 50 years. Recent findings suggest that Cooper might have had ties to Eastern North Carolina, specifically pointing to a man named Richard Floyd McCoy Jr.

all of a sudden there are a bunch of new videos on both sides of the coin ,
one saying the Parachute was fake :dontknow:
I only watched this One.
but imo the resemblance is Striking :coffee2:

So, he's the real "McCoy"?! 😂 😂
🤣 looks like it
He was pretty smart, the way he planned the Hijaking and Skydive.
Apparently it might of been some sort of protest crime. Pretty sure he and coworkers had gotten screwed over by the airlines in some way. Apparently he did it partly in retaliation. Probably the reason the FBI never brings the subject up.
It doesn't look good when you are known for wasting a Robinhood type Cult hero.
It is what it is.
He probably did pull a gun on those FBI guys.
Dunno?

Well there is a couple issues I wish they could solve. This is one of them. Another is the ones who escaped from Alcatraz. I am also unsure bout the JFK assassination

There are still plenty of "things to be found" out there and Mysteries to be solved. You just dont know about them.
😁

Did they not find some of the money lost in that hijacking ?

I thought some young boy found a bunch of bills out on the bank of a creek bank ?

Yeah, That was in the Columbian River. McCoy through the money off an overpass above the River on his way back to Oregon. Most likely to try and "Throw" the authorities off his track. Looks like the move did'nt work, pretty sure the money wasn't found until years after his passing.
Goes to show you, dont throw your money away, if your in the clear. ;D Pretty incredible a Big pack of bills could go undiscovered for that long. 🤔
