You can't water hunt in any State Park, but You can hunt from the toe of the water to the dune only.

I've water hunted Ann's Beach, Holiday Isles, the sandbar, and Sombrero Beach, but not down in Key West.
Only hunt in the sanded areas. Do not disturb or dig the turtle grass (the underwater grasses) and do not break any coral.
That's about all the rules I know for water hunting in the Keys.
Good luck to you, too! HH!

There aren't many sandy beaches in Key West. It is a coral island and the sand is trucked or pumped in. I lived in Key West for 6 months about 8 years ago and there were no restrictions at the time. I didn't have a water detector then, but I did see others in the water detecting, so I don't think there are any restrictions. Papa
