I like the slang usage, thingamajig, hmmmm, I dunno what it is, what’s it’s made of and how big is it? Could be a doohickey or a thingamabob, or perhaps the very rare “doothingy”

Need much better pictures, right now not seeing anything that suggest artifact, better pictures might help confirm one way or another.

The slight "notching" appears natural and the shape isn't right for any known tool that I know of.
