With copper's spot price exceeding $4/lb for the first time in a while, I thought it would be a good time to take my modest 2020 haul of dug brass, copper, and lead to the scrap yard in my neighborhood. $60 will buy some batteries and kneepads! :metaldetector:
Good luck out there!

That looks like a Fortress Metals receipt, over on South Holman Street. I'm in RTP as well and I've seen a few of those in my day :)

It's now Wall Recycling, but yep, that's the place

Took my last load in in September last year. Could have made a few more bucks with your prices. It will be another year until I have enough again.

Yow! Nice payday. (fyi, your contact info is in that photo, just in case you want to blur it or something)

That reminds me! I’ve got 50lbs of brass!

Thanks for pointing that out to everyone :laughing7:
My address is public record, but I don't keep my good stuff at that address.

Ha! Thought you might wish to alter it, but yeah, smooth move on my part. :-X

Just did my recycling run! 32 pounds copper, 87 pounds brass, 86 pounds lead! When I looked at the buckets they didn’t look anywhere near as heavy as they were! Got over $300 for it all. :blob8:
