But ZOWEE!!!! :o

I was in the convenience store on my way to the slave pit this morning, and in the "Take One Leave One" penny tray I saw a wheatback staring up at me. Of course I replaced it with something more recent.

Was in a hurry, so did not look at it until I got to work.

1955-D in pretty nice shape.

Think I should contact Sotheby's Auction House and then retire?

Congrats on that premature retirement Falcon! :D Good find regardless.

What good stuff have others found this way? I found a 25% off-center penny once. And going back to when I was a teen I found a 1902 Indian in a small "wishing" fountain. I must have walked by it 20 times before I stuck my hand in, pulled it out, and threw back a dime.

A friend bought burritos for our lunch last week and got 3-90% dimes in change. He went back and bought another $2 in dimes there, but did not find a single one more.

LoL Maltese

Hey I gotta admit I look at every cash register different once I started CRH and MDing.

Good eye on getting the wheatie.

;D ;D ;D Me too, only with my looks they probably think i'm casing the joint, staring profoundly at the open cash drawer anywhere I go! No more goodies lately for me at the local HESS station, where i've found several wheats, one indian and a few silver rosies in my change.
