This was found by a friend while detecting near Spottsylvania, Va. It was real deep, had a very hard and very stubborn incrustation on it, that was darned near impossible to remove .. almost like a fused on ceramic coating. After much to-do, I was able to pick away the crust to reveal the core, which to me is unidentifiable unless it is a meteorite, in which case I hope I didn't terminally irradiate myself by handling it and breathing the dust. At any rate, it is magnetic, and here are the before and after photos. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Robot Poop :laughing9:

Sorry, Couldn't resist. has there been any mining in the area? Looks like some of the old teeth or bits I have found around here from old mining equipment.
