Was working out of town this week and there weather finally broke. I took a wrong turn to my hotel and the road dead ended into this beautiful home that's going to be demolished. Built in 1886. lets just say it wasn't a good place to be in the evening. So I got up early and packed my trusty P228 and took a chance. My brother said I was crazy, but after two tours in Kuwait and 25 years service, not going to be afraid in my country, and it was worth it. found all this in two 1 hour mornings before work. a word of cation though, if you venture into these old sites its probably smarter doing it with the buddie system.

Nice hunt, What a shame to demolish that place, looks amazing, congratulations on all your saves

Nice hunt! :occasion14:

What a beautiful place...

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Great instincts......and very nice recoveries in 2 hours. Love seeing old Victorian homes.......make for good permissions.

First off, from one vet to another, thanks for serving our country. Your gamble paid off handsomely, just look at those finds! The workmanship on the old house is evident despite being overgrown...

Wow, what a NEAT Looking place and yes there should be some good targets there, well done! Looks like there are some quality ingredients that went into the building of the Mansion. Who knows what could be between the walls?? What fun!............63bkpkr

First off, Thank you for your service. We owe you a lot.

Second congratulations on some nice finds. Well worth the effort. I think the silver thing is the handle to part of a silver ladies grooming set. I found one like it several years ago, but mine is marked sterling.

Here’s a picture for comparison. Maybe a google search will find the set your handle came from.

Good luck and keep swingin.

Hi wow nice hunt with some nice finds Congrats:occasion14: That is one beautiful old house. Pity they are going to demolish it. Would love to see how it looks on the inside

The coins are nice and all but man, what a house! I'd love to know more about it and wish all that foliage could be removed so we could see it as it was truly meant to be.

if the interior is half as grand as the exterior, I'd just about kill for some pics of the inside woodwork and such.

Wow nice IHP's and V nick! Love those Barbers! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: Thanks for your service.

Nice finds and congrats! It is definitely a shame to demolish such a Regal home which was apparently built and owned by someone of wealth and likely noteworthy in the history books. I can't believe that the local Historical Society has not intervened to keep the home from being destroyed.

What a beautiful old house! If you can obtain permission to enter it, I'd check the attic! There's no telling what may be left up there.

Wtg...nice looking old house site with some cool saves. and yeah we do keep our heads on a swivel in certain areas. just be 1st to pull.:occasion14:
Congrats!!

Their afraid to let anyone at this time, homeless and drug dealers have broken in and an are in and out of it all the time, trust me if I could get in there I would!
