Just wanted to share an update about a Flying Eagle cent I found back a while ago. I've found 4 of these in my "career" so I guess I got a little lazy. ;)

But, I just noticed that this one was a little more special. I don't know which is the more rare variety but, this one is definitely a "small letters" version.

I was so blown away just finding any of them and always will be! But, for it to have something a bit more to often? Talk about icing! :)

Just wanted to share my happiness.

Neat WHADIFIND.

Nice coin. All of the ones I've dug were eaten up by the ground. I don't have a decent one among the three I've dug.

thats an awesome FE! real nice detail. Im hoping my cornfield has some of those come falltime!

I know! I have been very, very blessed on this particular coin. Let alone finding 4 of 'em! :) This one is in great shape. BUT, believe it or not, it's not my best one. I had a doubly wonderful experience on my first one. Not only was it found during my very first year, (about 35 ago), it is in phenomenal condition for coming from the ground! I really didn't know just how good until I'd hunted this long and seen what the ground usually does to them.

My best one:

I even used this for my avatar for a while. :)

Thanks Buck!
