Found a 1943 steel wheatie walking across gas station parking lot after filling up . since I didn't get to md much this year I'm happy

Great post!
I pick em up, I exchange my zincs for coppers in the 'Take a penny' trays, I get rolls of cents at the bank for CRH'ing, my best find: a blackened 59 Rosie in a Cent Roll.
The Copper cent ratios are steadily declining! understandable when a pre 82 cent is worth over 2c
scrap value, You can purchase machines that will cull the coppers from palletloads of cents that are also available, couple years from now there will only be 'Zincolns'.
Old adage" 'bad money drives out the good'
get em while you can, & watch for those 69, 70, & 72 DDs, Big $$!
