I am out camping near Fort Ligonier, PA. While on a creek I found this heavy ball in 2 inches of mud..I'm not sure if this is a musket ball or not...i don't have a caliper with me nor a scale. So I have no idea of the specs...if someone could help out trying to figure out what this is, that would be great and much appreciated. it is pretty heavy for something this size comparing to a rock the size. I kind of scraped a little on the wrong and can see a little shiny metal. It could be nothing but i am still curious.

Does a magnet stick to it , appears to be iron

Looks iron, so maybe out of a multiple canister style shot.

Also looks le it could be a piece of hematite or magnetite check to see if it is magnetic

I'll check when if it's magnetic when I get home this evening and update..thanks everybody

Update*** It appears to be magnetic. It's 1.02 of inch in diameter and weighs 58.48 grams..so it's likely iron

Likely to me a canister shot......too big to be a musket ball.
