Not too much but at least something

Headed out on the kayaks today but knew it would be a tough day. Our spots our so hunted out by this time of year. Found a few tips. A couple pieces of pottery with fingernail impression. A large broken knife base and one full artifact that is either a small knife or graver. May have been a point at some time. Also a perfectly round rock that is polished down on one face almost to the point that it is indented. Came home to watch my ravens getting stomped by the texans. Killing me!

Hey bsit- at least you found SOMEthing. I've been skunked 3 out of the last 4 times I went out. Nice to see another Marylander- AND fellow kayaker! That said, this crazy, windy wack-o weather we've had this summer has helped some- although there are noticably more people out looking... You Western or Eastern Shore?

Got some good ones I C. That little round stone I found one like it a few months ago and somebody told me just a rock so I threw it back and now I have been told game stone on it. Go figure! Looks like you scored and isnt the water cold now? I got a kayak and was thinking the water is probably too cold to go out in. But mine is a sit on top and you cant stay dry in that thing.

Yeah I got a buddy who does it in a sit on top. I can't do it. They could be rocks I look for smoothed out areas or dished out top or bottoms. Almost like a mini Mano. Where I am the spots are almost hunted out. I head out on the bay in the middle of winter to hit spots just because I know no one else is crazy enough to hit the water when it's that cold. Wish they would plow more here in Maryland.
