I don’t know much about Native American artifacts. How do you determine a hoe, from an axe? Thank you.

Very nice hoe, from looks of it lots of use.

On a side note Up-North, I use to live in Mankato, Mn in the mid 70s and again in early 80s, a real party town then and I was young and single so I took advantage of it. I use to just about live in the bar Hurdy Gurdy in the 70s I was there so often.....

Although this one resembles a axe, it is far to thin and brittle to do a axes job.
Axes in the upper Midwest are never notched.they are thicker and always grooved.

Thats a beast. Great save

Ahh... Mankato Minnesota, a party town then a party town now.
Never been in the hurry gurdy.. but, been in a few others.

Oh hale yeah!!

That thing is streamlined. Very nice!

No doubt! That’s a great looking Notched Hoe. Not all of them were Notched. The Bit-end is smooth. Must have been hoeing clean loom or sand with that one.
Really great artifact!

Love to see that polish on the business end. Killer find.
