Hit my usual TS yesterday and the had a few new rings in the tray. I saw three that looked promising and asked to see it. She said “there is nothing for me” in there. Not sure what she meant but oh well. Anyway the big handcrafted silver with gold accent ring was unmarked except for 7.50 which is the ring size but initially thought it was 18kt and 925. It was $4 and acid tested to sterling but the gold did not. It weighed 14g. The final ring was a small gold cats eye ring. I looked at the marks “Romany 10K/P” and about that time she said it was plated. Of course since KP means plated. Wink..... it weighs 1.7g and is 10kt plumb ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1520433782.881095.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1520433793.835559.webp

Bravo! It aggravates me when they pull that stuff but it seems to be what happens when u frequent the same place. They almost feel like they have to beat you or something

I can tell even in that picture it is not plated. Nice score.

Two very nice finds! :occasion14:

P stands for Plumb, which means full measure gold content.
That is, if its marked 14k, it will be a full 14k, and not 13.6 rounded up.
With most things, four tenths of one percent means little, but with gold at $1300, it adds up.

That ring looks like it matches the Yurman earrings I got.

Mine are being repaired, cuz the posts were taken off. These are like the ones I got in a jar --
