Went out Friday and although I didn't find anything spectacular, I found 38 wheaties. My record for one day. Also found a few pieces of silver. Went to a different spot on Saturday and picked up 9 Indians and a V nickel.

You have to realize I hunt some very old parks. The park I found the Indians at has been hunted for 40 years. For decades there was a metal detector dealer across the street. I've only hunted it for a couple of years. In the old days it was common to come out with multiple seated and Barber coins every time you detected. Just this year I've pulled out 2 seated dimes and more than 40 Indians. Since I've been detecting there I also pulled out a seated half dime, 3 cent silver, large cents, a half real, multiple 2 cent pieces in the same day, hundreds of Indians and the gold coin that is my avatar. I feel fortunate to live in the northeast where there are many old sites. Many people don't have that option. Got my first King William III (1695-1701) last week as well as a couple of KG II's at a new permission. Going door knocking tomorrow at a few places from the 1700's with a buddy. Last time we did that I came up with a 1786 Vermont landscape copper and a 1798 draped bust LC.
Yes, I guess our definition of spectacular is a bit different due to the age of the places we live. Here's a photo of my finds from a club hunt last year I call spectacular.
