Even though I worked with an archaeological group down here in St Pete for 5 years, that's one thing I have never liked, was that artifacts are always just placed into ziplock baggies, cataloged, then boxed up and placed into a dark closet somewhere. It's just a shame... :-\

WOW. 300 skeletons. WTH would anyone keep those remains inside a basement? That is sacrilegious and disrespectful. Those remains should have been interred in a special cemetary set aside just for Native Americans. Governments spend all kinds of money on all kinds of stupid stuff but, they didn't spend a few dollars on some land to bury humans? They aren't pets. Their dead people!!!!!

And I sent them an email about keeping dead Native Americans in their dirty old basement. I told them that I believe anyone who is out emptying burial sites of the remains and artifacts are grave robbers.
