Nox 600 and regular 1/8" jack headphones?

Hi,
I have a new Nox 600, and I am using the included NON waterproof headphones. I will eventually get a pair of Minelab waterproof headphones, but I never go into the water, I usually hunt the beach. Can I use any regular 1/8 jack headphone if I dont care about waterproof? The minelab headphones I am using have a regular 1/8" jack just like my ipod does. I wanted to know if these headphones broke, could I use my sony headphones untill I got a water proof minlab set. Thanks for any info!

Absolutley! You only need the waterproof phones if you are going in the water. Just make sure you don't drop it in the water accidentally.

Agreed with Bayoutalker. Should do well in the dry and wet sand.
