NOX 800 arriving Sat (_supposedly_) Along with a couple of Lecshe hole makers.

Have a Garrett ACE 350, that I cut my teeth on. (Think its a great beginner machine, good balance of value, quality, tweakability to work and play with but not get overwhelmed. aka: just need galoshes not hip-waders)

Any reason to keep it around, or should I cash it in?

I kept my Tesoro Mojave, after getting the Equinox 600, as a "Trunk" machine. I keep it in the car in case I come across a "target of opportunity," like a sidewalk tear out, or the random park, construction area or vacant lot I stumble on. :skullflag:

Keep it. All machines break, and it's nice to have a spare in the car. I have for years now.

I would keep it! If fact, keep it for a back-up or trunk machine. :icon_thumleft:

I would keep as a spare in the trunk and you can also use if a friend wants to go with you.(for them to use)

Keep it. As everyone else has said, you can always use a backup machine or just keep it in the car for emergency searches.

You have history with it. It's an old friend. As others have said, good machine for a friend who has an interest but has never detected before, something you can use to let them get a good feel for.
