Went out for a short hunt with a buddy of mine, all I could find was nickels but I got dates off all which is amazing. The ground is starting to freeze, we really had to put some mustard on the shovels to get them in, especially in leaf free areas. Soon I’ll be traveling to your house to digSo if you see a blue dodge in the driveway, put on coffee please.

With a silver in there that would make for a great day out, grats!

Those truly are nice nickels. I found my first V nickel the other day, but it turned to trash when I attempted a cleaning. Congrats on some great saves.

Nice digs Joe-Dirt. Congratulations :icon_thumright:

I usually leave them be but these were very deep ( 8”+) and they came out great. Me and Tnet member Joebro went out Saturday and he pulled a 1868 shield nickel in great shape, it all depends on depth and drainage. Even the buffalo has a date, 1927

Nice digs fellow Mass-hunter!

nice nickels. if you drive to my house, I reckon you can dig but you won't find anything. I do have coffee though

Nice hunt JD.....My war nickels usually come out pretty good but my Buffalos and "V" nickels are nowhere as good as yours.

Good job Joe Ill keep a light on for ya my friend,

Nice assortment of Nics! Congrats

Those nickels are in some pretty great shape! Its rare that I ever get a date off a buff.

Nice work on the mid-tone recoveries! :occasion14:

Awesome nickles! Congrats

Nice finds Joe. I know that mass soil really chews up the nickels and your buffalo and V's look like they fared pretty well. Congrats.

If you're gonna dig nickels, you can't complain about those :thumbsup:

Nothing but nickels but nothing wrong with those nickels! 2 Vs, a buff and a war nickel. I'd call that a successful two months of nickel hunting in my neck of the woods haha. Well done!

I went back to the same area for 45 mins tops, dug 3 holes, a deep beer can top folded in half, a pistol bullet and another nickel at about 10” under every roots in the forest, 2” of leaves and 2” of crunchy snow. Diggin’ is tough, hope it warms up soon. (;
