Well after some research and afew clues from afew on this board I dug up this Image of this buired $$$ spot,but sorry to say it's on Fed Pro Land.........
and to dig would be BIG NO NO !! or in layman's terms = prison time........



but maybe worth looking into in terms of scuba around the island,

I did hear about 12 yrs ago that a man found a sunken British Rev War ship and he raised the old cannons from the lake aswell,but wouldnt you know it after all HIS HARD WORK! the state took them...........

seems alot fo spots in NY where things are supposed to be buired are fed protected...........HMMMMMMM

Well hope somone digs it up!.........................easy to find and can even rent the small island for a modest 3-4 grand a week or somthing in that range....

Correct vote fellow TH'ers. The importance of an open and free expression of speech takes precedence over one individuals bias. And as far as the legality of any search, such is up to each one's conscience, bearing in mind that mistrust of government is the legacy left to us by this country's founding fathers. But, hey, no one said what's supposed to be on this island. Anyone know?

well as far on whats on the island,tales have said cannon ,payroll,to smaller buired caches of personal items of British Regulars........but also a camp/house was built on the island,and also the island compared to the others in the L George area are 3 to 4 times the size of this one were talking about......
since i use to camp with my family on the islands when i was much younger i can say for sure theres atleast i cave on Treasure Island or turtle that me and my cousion found about 25 yrs ago,but also being to young and not knowing about TH'n we didnt dare to explore.also an inscription is on another island "might even have a pic of it",if i rememebr it says somthing along the lines of someone is buired there and is also dated in the late 1700's...

OK back to the island at hand - Tea Island - look for it around the Diamond point area or look twords the village area for it,its right off the shoreline!it will be on the West side of the lake!...........
but i wonder if the people who built the camp/house on the small island found anything...........
