So yesterday my brother and I were out MD'ing outside of Columbia and came across a dry creek bed. As we started heading up in it I got a great hit about 9inches down. I have to tell you every bone in my body was screaming IT HAS TO BE GOLD! It literally took my brother and I 45 minutes to dig it up. A lot of gravel mixed with clay is what we were digging in, not to mention the roots. Finally I could see it better and it was a small Tonka toy looking tire. Once we had it unearthed it was a solid metal Nylint Jeep. After a little bit of research we found out that these were made in the 50's and 60's. WP_20131204_001.webp WP_20131203_001.webp

All the times I worked Colombia, I never once dug up a toy truck. Great find.

Mariposagold you ever hit that old burned down building on the corner next to the Mark Twain Path marker?

Welcome to the Treasurenet, Shiny Jim. Congrats on a very cool, nostalgic find. Any chance that it is actually an International Harvester Scout or Ford Bronco? Something about the side view suggests that to me, but I could be wrong. I bet you will find more toys in the area, so happy hunting. Sub 8-)

You know your probably right, because it was green we just assumed that part. I will have to check it out some more, thanks.

Awesome! The way the picture is situated I thought that was a real truck that had been out 4-wheeling in the mud! Lol!

Are you talking about the marker on hwy 49, where the cabin was originally, or where it was moved too? I've seen the hwy marker, but have never been up to where they moved it.

Cool jeep! That's when toys were meant to last good old American quality!!!!!
