We went to a fund raiser at the county historical society today.
This is the old jail. I got a kick out of the boilerplate: Pauly Jail Building co.
I’m told that most towns in eastern Iowa had one that was similar. No A/C, toilet, library, etc. I’ll bet conjugal visits were embarrassing! We should go back to these IMO.

I've spent a wonderful night in a jail cell almost similar to that. Pott. Co Ks. 🤣😂🤣

I kinda recall an early grade school field trip where we maybe visited our local police station and they had a jail very much like that one. It was probably in Kewanee, Illinois I'm thinking 🤔
